The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which is at the center of Christian life, and comprises the most perfect and solemn act of worship, is offered every day at different times throughout the week. In the name of the gathered faithful the priest offers the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus to His Eternal Father. The more fervantly we participate in the offering of the Mass, the more benefits we will receive from this precious sacrifice by which the death of Our Redeemer on Calvary is daily represented. As the Doctor of the Church, St. Thomas Aquinas, said: "The celebration of Holy Mass ias as valuable as the death of Jesus on the Cross."
It must be remembered that on Sundays and other holy days of obligation, the faithful are bound to participate in the Mass under penalty of mortal sin. The precept of participating in the Mass is satisfied by assistance at a Mass which is celebrated anywhere in a Catholic rite either on the hold day or on the evening of the preceeding day." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2180).

Further Information on the Traditional Latin Mass;
In keeping with our parish's emphasis on offering to God our best in the Sacred Liturgy, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite every Sunday in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 10:15 a.m.The Extraordinary Form of the Mass is a form which is offered in Latin (the official language of the Church) using the 1962 Roman Missal. Some other names for the Extrordinary Form are "Tridentine Mass" and "Traditional Latin Mass."
Why do so many enjoy this Mass? Here are some reasons:
Some feel that the Extraordinary Form is particularly beautiful and reverent.
Many enjoy the Gregorian Chant and the sublimity of the Sung Mass.
Some prefer the quiet and prayerful Low Mass.
Some feel this form of the Mass is more conducive to prayer.
This Form of the Mass has been offered by so many generations of our ancestors in the Faith from the time of Pope Saint Gregory the Great in the 6th century.
These are just a few of the reasons why people of all ages have come to enjoy this beautiful Mass. At St. Joseph's, we are blessed to have the opportunity to offer this Mass every week. We invite all to come and pray this Mass with us.
