The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Extraordinary Form

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

In keeping with the traditional beauty of St. Joseph's, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Extraordinary Form is offered every week. If you don't know what the Extraordinary Form is, then you are in the right place! The Extraordinary Form of the Mass is a form which is offered in Latin (the official language of the church) using the 1962 Roman Missal. Why do so many enjoy this Mass? Here are some reasons:

Some believe that the Extraordinary Form is particularly beautiful and reverent
Many enjoy the Gregorian Chant music
Some feel that the Mass is more conducive to prayer
The Extraordinary Form is the same Mass that was offered hundreds of years ago

These are just a few of the reasons why people of all ages have come to enjoy this beautiful Mass. At St. Joseph's, we are luck to have the opportunity to offer this Mass every week. We invite everyone to come and pray this Mass with us.
