The Extraordinary Form of the Mass is a form which is offered in Latin (the official language of the Church) using the 1962 Roman Missal.
Some other names for the Extrordinary Form are- Tridentine Mass and Traditional Latin Mass.
Why do so many enjoy this Mass? Here are some reasons:
Some feel that the Extraordinary Form is particularly beautiful and reverent.
Many enjoy the Gregorian Chant.
Some feel that the Mass is more conducive to prayer.
Some prefer the quiet, prayerful Low Mass.
